10 Teen movies to watch if you’re bored

During quarantine nobody knows what to do. Most people want to watch something but they don’t know what. Since I’m a huge movie sucker I have put together 10 teen movies for people to watch.

  1. All the Bright Places

After meeting each other, two people struggle with the emotional and physical scars. There is almost a sort of darkness that comes in. Everything about this movie was brilliant, from actors to the script. This movie was originally adapted by the book written by Jennifer Niven. In my opinion this movie was a solid, 7.5/10. It was given a 69% rating by rotten tomatoes and 6.5/ 10 by IMDb. If you really want to watch something this movie is an excellent choice.

  1. Love, Simon

Love, Simon got famous very quickly and to be fair it deserved all the love and attention it received. This story is about a boy, Simon who struggles to come out as gay. Throughout the movie he is in contact with someone anonymous and he falls for them. This movie made me cry, laugh and smile all at the same time. I would give this movie a 8.5/10. Rotten tomatoes gave it 92% rating and IMDb rated it 7.6/10. If it is up on rotten tomatoes you know it’s going to be better than good. If you haven’t watched this movie you really have to. Scratch that you need to watch this movie.

  1. Lady Bird

It wasn’t until very recently I watched this film but it was really good. It is a story about a mother and daughter who are both strong headed. As the mother struggles with the financial problems of the house the daughter struggles with teenage problems. Saoirse Ronan is such an amazing actor and she deserved so much love. This movie was an 8/10 in my opinion. It was rated a 99% by Rotten Tomatoes and 7.4/10 by IMDb. If you are really bored you have watched literally all the movies you must watch.

  1. 5 feet apart

Do I even need to review this movie? These movies made me cry and smile. Cole Sprouse and Hayley Lu Richards were extraordinary and Justin Baldoni did a tremendous job. This movie is about two people who are sick, Stella and Will. There’s an instant flirtation, though restrictions dictate that they must maintain a safe distance between them. They fall in love but the space causes many frictions all the way. I would give this movie a 7/10. You would expect it to be much higher but I think there are many areas that need an improvement. Rotten Tomatoes rated it a 54% and IMDb gave it a 7.2/10. It is a cute love story and for people that love romance this is the movie for you.

  1. Life as we know it

This movie was fun, exciting, sad, happy and energetic. There was a time I was obsessed with this movie because of how great it was. It started off with a terrible date but since their friends were going to get married they had to be in each other’s life, even though they hated each other. After their friends died, the baby’s responsibility was given to them and that is what got them closer together. I would give it an 8/10. Even though both rotten tomato and IMDb did not rate the movie too well, I think it’s pretty fun. At least for a one time watch.

  1. Blended

If you haven’t watched this film you haven’t lived your life to the fullest. Adam Sandler, ufff, Drew Barrymore, UFFF. Recently divorced mom Lauren and widowed dad Jim let their friends push them into a blind date, which ended up being a complete disaster. Their fates collide when they went on a holiday trip. I think you already know what happens next. I rate this movie a 9/10. This is probably the highest I have rated a movie so far and that is because I laughed so hard when I watch this movie. The smile never leaves my face. I have watched this movie more than 5 times and every time I do I fall back in love with it. Once again the rating for this movie weren’t too great but you have to watch this movie.

  1. Little Women

Little Women is a great movie based on the famous novel written by Louisa May Alcott. It is a story about four sisters and their struggles with love, money and relations. It is just brilliant. All the actors did a fantastic job to portray their characters. I rate this movie a 9/10 again because of how impressive everything was from the setting to the direction. It was given a 95% by Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.9/10 from IMDb. You can find this movie on Amazon Prime and I promise you, you won’t regret watching this movie.

  1. To All the boys I’ve loved beforeĀ

There may not be a single soul who hasn’t watched this movie, or at least nobody I know who hasn’t. It starts when Lara Jean’s Sister sends out her secret love letters. She starts fake dating Peter, one of the people she addressed the letters to, to avoid Josh who is also her sister’s ex. Peter pretends to date her so he can make his ex jealous and they end up falling for each other. I give this movie a 9/10 again. It was given a 97% by rotten tomatoes and a 7.2/10 by IMDb. Most people have watched this movie but if you haven’t you have to at least once in your life.

  1. She’s the man

Funny and witty. This movie was amazing. I have no words to describe how good it was. When Viola is not selected in the soccer team because she is a female, she dresses up like her twin brother and joins his school. Sounds a little weird I know but give this movie a chance. It is one of the good ones. I would give it a 7/10 but IMDb and Rotten tomatoes aren’t too happy with it but it was not a bad movie.

  1. Wild Child

Wild child was one of the first movies I started to love. I have watched this movie about 7 times and I still enjoy every second of it. It is about a spoiled girl who gets sent off to a boarding school. All she wanted to do was get out of the school but the only way to do it was to get her expelled. Her roommates help her but she ends up actually liking the school. I would give this movie a 8/10. Again IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes don’t agree with me. But if you want to watch something fun and entertaining this is the movie for you.
